Getting started

How do I get started?

Call us at (380) 212-9259, request an appointment online, or email info@peerhive.org. We’ll ask a few questions about what you’re looking for, check your coverage, and schedule your assessment.

Do I need a referral?

You can contact us directly. If a doctor, school, court or another provider has referred you, bring any paperwork they gave you.

What happens at the first appointment?

Your first appointment is an assessment. We’ll talk about what brought you in and what you want to change, then recommend the program that fits. We’ll let you know how long to plan for when we schedule it.

What should I bring?
  • Photo ID
  • Your insurance or Medicaid card
  • A list of any medications you take
  • Any referral paperwork
  • For a child: custody or guardianship papers, if they apply
Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. We see people in person at our office at 2000 W Henderson Rd, Suite 10, and through telehealth. Ask us which option works for your program.

What are your hours?

Please call (380) 212-9259 for current hours and appointment times.

Programs

Which program is right for me?

That’s what the assessment is for. Based on your needs and goals, we’ll recommend Outpatient Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Day Treatment, Case Management, or a combination. You can see who each program serves on our programs table.

What’s the difference between outpatient and intensive outpatient?

Outpatient Treatment is individual and group therapy scheduled around your life. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) is a more structured program that meets several days a week, for adults who need more support than weekly therapy but don’t need inpatient care.

Do you treat both mental health and substance use?

Yes. Outpatient Treatment covers substance use, mental health, and co-occurring conditions, where someone is dealing with both.

What does case management do?

Case management is hands-on help connecting you with the clinical, medical and community resources you need, and coordinating your care across the different providers involved.

Insurance and cost

What insurance do you accept?

Coverage depends on your plan. Call us with your insurance or Medicaid card and we’ll check it for you before your first visit.

What if I don’t have insurance?

Call us anyway. We’ll talk through your options with you.

Parents and guardians

Can I call on behalf of my child?

Yes. A parent or guardian can call to start the process and ask questions before anything is scheduled.

Which programs serve children and teens?

Outpatient Treatment and Case Management serve children and adolescents as well as adults. Day Treatment is only for children and adolescents. Intensive Outpatient is for adults only.

Does my child live at home during Day Treatment?

Yes. Day Treatment is a structured daytime program. Young people take part during the day and go home afterwards.

Privacy

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Your health information is protected by federal privacy law, including HIPAA and, for substance use treatment records, 42 CFR Part 2. We share information only with your written consent or when the law requires it.

Can I email you about my situation?

Email is fine for questions and scheduling, but please don’t include medical details. Call us and we’ll talk privately.

Referral partners

How do I refer a client?

Use our online referral form, call (380) 212-9259, or email referrals@peerhive.org with your client’s name, contact details and the program you’re referring to. Please don’t send diagnoses or clinical details by email.

Who do you work with?

Behavioral health organizations, hospitals and treatment centers, schools and youth organizations, community resource centers, and refugee and immigrant services.
